I hope you are all enjoying the slightly cooler weather.  Like the weather there are a lot of things we cannot change in the world, both the good and the bad.  Unfortunately our Healing Book page for August is filling up too quickly and has the names of people of all ages.  So I ask you all, please, to regularly give a little prayer for the book and for the names there in.

Next week Wednesday 2nd September will be our last friendly gathering for lunch at Javea Golf Club before meetings begin again on 10th [Edit: 9th] of the month.

On a happy note for doggies in the future, (an acquaintance of mine named Lee from locally here in Spain) is taking on a great challenge.  A few years ago Lee raised 30K euros for a local dog sanctuary by taking on a long hard run/walk.  This time it is going to be a lot longer and a lot harder for Lee.  He started off at the beginning of this month not from here, or from the top of Spain, but from Skagen at the top of Denmark and is aiming to finish at Tarifa in the southern tip of Spain. Lee´s aim is to raise €150k to build a home at Paws in Jalon for elderly dogs that have lost their owners through illness or whatever reason. It is sad that after living in a comfy home the dogs end up in a cage with a concrete floor. So Lee´s aim is to build a property that will be a second home with furniture and beds, also a room for volunteers to stay with the dogs in a comfortable environment

Lee is currently somewhere in the Netherlands on his way to Belgium before France..

On his journey through Spain later in the year Lee will be calling somewhere along the coast locally and I hope those of you who are in the area at that time will join me and my family in seeing him alongside the road and wishing him well on the rest of his journey.  And in the meantime let us all send Lee support through thought on this fantastic journey.
