Hi everyone

It is not easy keeping cool, but hope you are all managing to cope with the temperatures.

Our lunch yesterday went well, lots of laughs and and chat  - ten of us if I calculated correctly. Don´t forget everyone welcome to join us and the next lunch at the Golf Club will be 12.00 on 19th August.

As is usual for Thursdays during our break I am sending something for you to read.  I have always known the first few lines of the following but only recently found there was more to this saying...

Please grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

the courage to change the things I can,

and the wisdom to know the difference.

Grant me patience with the changes that take time,

appreciation of all that I have,

tolerance of those with different strugggles,

and the strength to get up and try again...

One day at a time.
