Hi everyone
December 1st tomorrow, where has this year gone ???
A reminder that on Wednesday 3rd we have Pauline Kernick as our speaker and giving clairvoyance. 17th will be a day to chat amongst ourselves and enjoy a mince pie.
The meeting on Wednesday will be the last chance for pennies in the pot this side of Christmas - all funds raised are for purchasing vouchers at the Ondara Shopping Centre for the children at the Teenagers Home. Although it has usually always always be a Home for five boys and five girls teenagers, there is unfortunately a change at this time. There are now six girls ages 7,8,9,13, 16 and 17. Four boys ages 6,8,10 and 14. So sad having life problems at such young ages. Julia, one of our group has been working hard for the Home and has her neighbours, friends and fellow workers, giving donations plus items which will be wrapped and given as presents at Christmas or on 5th January whichever the Home thinks best. All donations will be welcome for these unfortunate kids.
Another local worthy cause is www.project4all.org which helps people through all kinds of problems, you may wish to look at their website.
The box will be out again on Wednesday and 17th for people to put their suggestions for discussion meetings in the New Year.
I am signing off with a few positive sayings.............
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do." — H. Jackson Brown Jr.
"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts." — Winston S. Churchill
"Believe you can and you're halfway there." — Theodore Roosevelt
"Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny." — C.S. Lewis
Love to all - keep warm
