Merry Christmas

Hi everyone

While we are enjoying the festivities a short note to please remember the names in our Healing Book which also includes people who suffered in so  many ways during the flood in Valencia, (not each by name obviously) but thinking of them all.

While mentioning the flood victims, apparently they now need books, pens etc for the children returning to school.  Also, the Lions Charity Shop in Moraira told me that the people of the towns affected desperately need electrical goods, so if your Christmas gifts have doubled up on a hairdryer, shaver etc (anything electrical right up to fidges and  freezers) there will be collection dates at the Lions.  Or any of the smaller items can be brought along to meetings in the New Year to be passed on to the Lions.

Thanks to all those who donated during the year for the Teenagers of the Home in Benissa.   The Christmas money (shared equally between the ten children at the Home) has been passed to the representatives and both Hazel and Ian thank everyone for their kindness.

I am sure you have better things to do than read a message from me, so I will sign off and leave you with a statement from the book  A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.

Hi everyone

At the extra meeting with mincepies and biscuits on Wednesday we got to know each other our past and how we came to be interested in the spiritual side of life. Very interesting afternoon.

Being unwell is no fun at any time of the year, but things always seem worse at Christmas time. At the meeting thirty-six names were entered into the Healing Book.  Among them one of the ladies who started up the Group back at the turn of the century.  The list also includes her husband.  So please give a thought and prayer to both of them and all the names in the Healing book.

"The healer's function is not to diagnose physical complaints which in too many cases have mental and spiritual origins. The function is to enable the power of the spirit to flow through him or her and touch the soul of the patient so that the disease, ailment or debility is put right, and then to kindle in that patient an awareness of spiritual realities. Physical diagnosis is absolutely unimportant and trivial."

I hope you are prepared for the festive season which is upon us now.  If you are enjoying the festivites with friends and family have a great time, and if you are on your own at this time still ensure you enjoy the days as it all only comes once a year.

Hi everyone

I am not sure if The Twelve Days of Christmas starts today or tomorrow, but just to let you know I haven´t seen a Partridge in my pear tree (yet).

Yesterday was a great meeting as always with Deborah, who gave us an explanation to all the Major Arcana Tarot cards,  i.e. The Fool´s journey.  A very interesting and educational afternoon. Thank you Deborah.

Although no speaker and not a gap of a fortnight we are meeting up next Wednesday 18th  usual time, at Marley's for anyone who wishes to come along for a drink and a mince pie (or an alternative for those who don´t like or cannot eat one for any reason).  No plans - we can talk spiritual, holistic or just chat, it is a pre-Christmas  informal afternoon get-together.

A reminder that Kevin at Marley´s is willing to take in and pass on any donations for the people who are still in need due to the Valencian flooding, it definitely won't be a very good festive season for them.

• Wrap yourself in each other’s presence and don’t just submerge yourself in the presents.

• The loving, sharing, and giving of Christmas should not just be enjoyed for one day, it should never be put away.

• It’s not about how much we give, but about how much love we put into giving.
